- Some thoughts about the announced sale of Amiga Technologies
- by ESCOM to VIScorp.
-
- VIScorp already had a deal with ESCOM to use Amiga chips in
- their coming set-top cable box.
-
- The press release says:
- "..... products that give home users capabilities such as telephone
- reception and dial-up capabilities, facsimile, video games,
- pay-per-view options, electronic mail, and access to on-linee
- services, including the Internet."
-
- That sure sounds like they intend to build machines which
- use Amiga parts, and act a lot like computers.
-
- Games, Internet access?
- Electronic Mail?
- Sounds like an opportunity for Amiga developers.
